PVDF Coating
 

PVDF Coating, also known as Fluorocarbon Coating, PVF2 Coating, KYNAR 500® or Hylar 5000®, are thin film coating with paint formulation of fluoride polyvinyls, acrylic resins & inorganic ceramic pigments.

PVDF Coating has long been successfully utilized as a base material for long-life architectural coating systems for metal surfaces. As PVDF Coating contains a minimum of 70% by weight PVDF resin, the resultant coatings can meet the AAMA 2605 specification of the Architectural Aluminum Manufacturers Association.

Based on the outstanding performances of PVDF Coating, we can offer 10 - 20 years warranty according to AAMA 2605 specification, depending on different colors and coating systems applied.

Standard PVDF Coating has low gloss plain surface finish. On special request, we can tailor-apply either high gloss plain surface or different kinds of satin surface as well.


2 Coat System PVDF Coating Work Flow  

1. 12 Stages Chemical Pretreatment
  Step 1 - Alkaline degreasing
Step 2 - Tap water rinsing
Step 3 - Tap water rinsing
Step 4 - Etching & Desmutting
Step 5 - Tap water rinsing
Step 6 - Tap water rinsing
Step 7 - Chromate conversion coating
Step 8 - Deionized water rinsing
Step 9 - Deionized water rinsing
Step 10 - Deionized water rinsing
Step 11 - Drying
Step 12 - Quality inspection for chemical pretreatment
2. Dusts on coating surface are removed by air ionizing blowers.
3. Electrostatic spray applied flash primer with dry film thickness 5-8 microns.
4. Electrostatic spray applied PVDF top coat with dry film thickness 25-30 microns.
5. Coated parts are thermal cured with metal surface temperature 230 - 240 for
10-15 minutes.
6. Quality inspection for coating layer.
